Corporate Responsibility

The importance of responsibility has skyrocketed both globally and in Scandinavia. And fortunately so, as the well-being of our planet is at risk. We consume large amounts of resources that do not replenish at the same rate, and we generate emissions that jeopardize our health. Greenlips Beauty Pro wants to make an impact on this issue. We use business as a tool to do good and as an opportunity to promote high environmental, social, and ethical standards.

What does corporate responsibility mean to us?

We examine the responsibility of Greenlips Finland Ltd through three main aspects: social responsibility, environmental responsibility, and economic responsibility. Corporate responsibility, in our view, is not about individual actions but rather a way of thinking about everything the company does and how it operates from that standpoint. Responsibility is our guiding value, and our entire business was founded in 2010 based on responsibility values.

The journey towards responsibility is never complete, and every day we work towards making our operations more sustainable and positively impactful. We firmly believe that a company can be both successful and do good for the surrounding world.

It is important to us that the brands we represent are produced responsibly and manufactured in ways that adhere to excellent practices. Our entire value chain is committed to showing deep respect for people, animals, the environment, and the future. We commit to taking actions in line with sustainable development, where natural resources are not recklessly wasted and raw material producers receive fair compensation for their work. We care about the kind of world we leave for our children and future generations.

We only choose responsible manufacturers as our partners, and all products must meet at least the following criteria:

  • Within their own product category, the purest possible "clean beauty" brand, without compromising on effectiveness and functionality (often meaning certified organic cosmetics, so that we can be sure about the entire production chain).
  • Product ingredients that do not harm the environment, humans, or animals (e.g., biodegradability, no aerosols).
  • The packaging of the product is recyclable and preferably already recycled once.
  • The entire life cycle of the product is carefully considered, from the cultivation of raw materials to the transportation and duration of use of the finished product.
  • Ethical manufacturing, with a focus on people and animals. When it comes to animals, consideration is also given to animals living in the wild. If a product is not biodegradable, it may be harmful to water systems or nature, which in turn affects the conditions of wildlife.
  • Climate actions - each brand must have concrete actions to reduce climate impacts.
  • "Give back" - the desire to do good is in the DNA of the brands we choose.

Concrete actions we take to promote responsible practices:

Social responsibility

  • Ethical and fair treatment of all stakeholders (employees, manufacturers, suppliers, customers, etc.).
  • No exploitation of vulnerable individuals (including in subcontracting chains).
    We always work with socially responsible suppliers and partners.
  • We constantly strive to improve the well-being, equality, and inclusivity of our workplace and employees.
  • We continuously encourage manufacturers and collaborators to improve their own responsible practices by showcasing what good they are already doing and where they can further improve.
  • We strengthen value-based entrepreneurship with our own example, where profitability and success bring more values-based entrepreneurs to the market, creating a new kind of corporate culture and real change in the world. We believe in the power of collaboration.
  • We encourage consumers to make wise choices and practices, as a quality product lasts over time and produces desired results. Less is more.

Environmental responsibility

  • Organic products (natural cosmetics) as a central form of environmental responsibility.
  • Use of environmentally friendly ingredients, preferably organic.
  • Biodegradable products.
  • Carbon-neutral deliveries.
  • Concentrated products, so that water is not unnecessarily transported from one place to another.
  • We reuse packaging materials whenever possible without compromising on quality and hygiene.
  • We act as a communicator and advocate for environmentally responsible issues.
  • We constantly strive to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize water usage.
  • Preference for digital communication and use of public transportation for commuting whenever possible.
  • The electricity and heat energy we use are generated from renewable sources.
  • We recycle all waste generated in our business operations.

Economic responsibility

  • In all financial decisions, we commit to considering social responsibility and environmental responsibility as equal. When economic goals conflict with social and environmental responsibility, we commit to prioritizing the latter over economic growth.
  • Our goal is not only to maximise profits but to ensure that our business has a positive impact on the environment, people, and society.
  • We help our customers succeed and create economic opportunities so that they can live a fulfilling life and enjoy it both at work and in their free time.
